    AS9100 is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for Aerospace & Defence. Since 2008, Shanthi Gears was certified for AS9100C and re certified for EN 9100: 2018 (AS 9100 D) in 2018.

    Shanthi Gears is the first Indian Gear Manufacturer certified for AS 9100 including Design & Development of Aerospace & Defence parts.

    International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) :

    IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) is an initiative led by the Union of the European Railway Industries (UNIFE) and largely instigated and supported by the leading manufacturers. IRIS is a complementary extension to ISO 9001, specific to the railway industry, designed for the evaluation of management systems. The underlying aim of IRIS is to improve the quality and reliability of rolling stock produced, by improving the whole supply chain. It does this by requiring suppliers to comply with strict and common procedures.

    Shanthi Gears achieved the IRIS Certification in 2018. Shanthi Gears is the first Indian Gear manufacturing company to get the IRIS certificate and Worldwide, the 3rd gear manufacturing company to get the IRIS certificate.

    Shanthi gears’ in house Research and Development department is recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science & Technology for development of new product/ technologies, design and engineering, improvements in process/ product/ design, developing new methods of analysis and testing, research for increased efficiency in use of resources.


    DGQA Certification:

    Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA) is the main Quality Assurance (QA) Organization entrusted with the responsibility of assuring quality & reliability of defense products, both manufactured indigenously and those procured ex-import. Shanthi Gears Limited is certified by DGQA to supply Gears & Gearboxes to Defense factories.
